All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi organizes 1300+ online faculty development programmes for academic year 2021-22. Puducherry Technological University organizes one such online fdp on the topic “Cyber Crimes, Defensive Practices and Safe Computing” between 12th and 16th July, 2021. The fdp will have 14 live sessions presented through Google Meet with the participants. All the topics are presented by eminent speakers drawn from reputed institutions and Govenrment/private organizations. There is no registration fee. Interested participants can enroll their particulars through ATAL-FDP portal available at https://atalacademy.aicte-india.org/ and add this FDP by searching with state as Puducherry and category as thrust areas. On successful completion of all the sessions, the participation certificates will be issued by the AICTE, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
ABOUT THE COURSE
With rapid increase in the use of information and web resources for social networking and online trading, security threats and incidents are also alarmingly growing. The vulnerabilities in the information resources and hence the hacking activities at large, victimize the novice users on the web which needs creation of immediate awareness among the users to practice effective defense mechanisms against such activities and follow safe computing practices to contain the unprecedented growth of cyber crimes. The objective of this ATALFDP is to educate and enlighten the participants on various security incidents, counter measures and best defensive practices in order to remain safe in the cyber world.
